Marketing Research Manager (f/m/d)

We are searching an experienced Marketing Research Manager for a new Retail Banking Project.

You will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and you will be responsible for all our brand and customer research as well as market intelligence. You will, in essence, be the Voice of the Customer.

Activities that will fill up your work day:

  • To continually optimise our existing customer and retailer testing environment for our products and services
  • To interact with customers (online) and retailers alike on a regular basis
  • Manage concept and campaign testing in pre-launch and within lifecycle
  • Ensure that all attributes of the brand strategy and positioning are clearly reflected in the testing methods
  • Help shape customer and retailer segmentation models for the refinement of target groups
  • Recommendation of channels in alignment with Marketing Communication (behavioural analysis)
  • Make best use of social monitoring tools to evaluate Marketing Communication plans as well as understand what our customers are saying about our products and services
  • To regularly monitor, consolidate and analyse any insights from our direct and indirect competitors (especially in identifying trends and potential gaps)
  • To define key research criteria for tracking and reporting purposes
  • Report results and communicate findings from your research with other business functions (across the company, especially within marketing, product management)
  • You will need to ensure that the customers and retailers are effectively represented in relevant meetings by you

Who are you:

  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Business Management/Marketing or a related field
  • You have 5-8 years experience of market research/marketing intelligence (client or in house) in the service sector
  • You feel comfortable with quantitative (questionnaire design, sample sizing, testing/tracking of brand performance/marketing concepts etc) and qualitative (focus groups/interviews) research especially with online tools
  • You already have some knowledge of testing mobile apps
  • You have the ability to integrate key learnings, insights and recommendations into other business functions especially marketing, product management) and think end-to-end
  • You have proven to have solid analytical and creative skills, are well organised and hands-on
  • You are insights/results driven with a customer centric mindset at all times
  • You have gained some first hand experience as a community manager and feel comfortable with the task
  • Your career to-date has been in the B2C digital environment (B2B optional)
  • You are passionate about customer experience, you are a relentless communicator, you possess creative mind, you are open-minded, you embrace challenges, you enjoy teamwork
  • Du sprichst fließend Deutsch (and your English is pretty perfect as well)
